All versions of the Nissan Rogue come with a standard 2.5 liter, 170 horsepower engine with a torque of 175 lb-ft. While suitable for city driving, this SUV’s acceleration is sluggish on the open road. Fortunately, the 2021 version is expected to come with an improved 181 horsepower engine.
This vehicle does, however, handle smoothly, in both AWD and FWD formats. The Rogue also exhibits top-notch fuel efficiency, getting 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.
Interior and Infotainment
While the S comes with a 7-inch touch screen, four speakers, and Apple and Android connectivity, the SV has exciting extras such as heated front seats and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The SL is equipped with a heated steering wheel, a nine-speaker Bose premium audio system, a surround-view parking system, fog lights, and ProPilot Assist.
The 2021 model is expected to house additional features such as a NissanConnect system with up to three screens and a wireless smartphone charging pad.
The Rogue’s interior provides plenty of room for five passengers. While it comes with cloth upholstery by default, the SL version is fitted with leather upholstery. What’s more, the Rogue has 39.3 cubic feet of cargo space and up to 70 cubic feet of room with the rear seats folded down.
This vehicle has received an overall rating of four out of five stars for its safety from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
In addition, the Nissan Rogue is packed with safety features including blind spot monitoring, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, a rearview camera, pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking. The SV comes with additional features such as a surround-view parking camera system and ProPilot Assist, while the SL adaptive cruise control and fog lights.
